Artist Chuck Alexander, writer Paul Scott and myself collaborated on a series of paintings that utilized two sheets of acrylic “floating” over a painted canvas to create a three dimensional effect. Our goal was to explore works of the figure, done by two different artists, in juxtaposition, combined with writing. The process was challenging on many levels....since all three elements must work together in harmony and balance to be successful, agreeing on subject matter and layout were the first hurdle. Colors, style, tone, etc. all had to be discussed and agreed upon before execution - something an individual artist does with only himself. We were rewarded with fun time, deepening friendships, expansion of Love and Truth, greater professional respect, and the works of unique art shown here. The pictures do not do them justice - as the shadows of the two acrylic pieces play an important role in the overall composition - they truly must be seen to appreciate fully.
